1979-1980 Toyota Pickup Dash radio bezel repair - Retro Sound Conversion kit

$40.00 - $50.00

Don't spend hundreds on a new dash! Factory 79-80 radio bezels will not fit aftermarket radios like Retro Sound systems. Upgrade and restore the dash of your 1979-1980 Toyota Pickup with this precision 4-piece 3D printed set. Perfect for those looking to repair an original dash bezel that's been modified or cut to accommodate a modern radio, this set includes the 4 pieces or 6 pieces if you order wood grain vinyl. Dash bezel and Retro Sound radio, not included.

2 dash bezel inserts (Drivers/Passenger - Passenger side included so you can create a uniform look if applying wood grain)
1 replacement radio bezel
1 template/install tool for precise radio bezel cutout alignment
Designed specifically for a seamless fit with Retro Sound radios, this kit eliminates the need for additional, costly bezels. The result is a clean, factory-like finish without the hassle or expense. Enhance your truck's interior with this easy-to-install, durable solution while maintaining that classic, original look. This kit will fit Retro Sound 1B, 2B or 4HD.

Installation Instructions:

1. Take passenger dash bezel insert and lay it in place over dash. Trace the radio openings onto dash bezel.
2. Remove bezel insert and align radio bezel alignment tool over the tracings from step 1. Trace outline of alignment tool.
3. You should now have your cut line.
4. Cut the old radio bezel out following the line from step 2 & 3.
5. Place new radio bezel in place holding it in place using the new dash bezel insert used in step 1 to ensure perfect alignment. From the backside of the dash use a small amount of CA glue to tack the new bezel in place. Once alignment is correct add more glue to fix in place. I used epoxy putty on the back side to fill the larger gaps. This may be necessary if your cut wasn't perfect.
6. That's it! You can now install the dash bezel inserts on driver/passenger side.

Finishing options: I would recommend painting the old dash bezel and the new insert if you are going to keep the black plastic look. You can also apply wood grain vinyl or sticker to the inserts before installation to give the factory wood grain look.
